Not as well known as other ornamental pears, the beautiful Pyrus nivalis - Snow Pear cultivar will tolerate harsher conditions than other Pyrus but still develops a good form. It primarily grows in open areas where there is some sun. It has silvery grey foliage, which compliments modern architecture.

Landscape use: Pyrus nivalis - Snow Pear will make good street tree. Easily pruned. Good specimen and avenue tree. Provides contrast to green foliage.
