Grevillea - Canterbury Gold Grevillea

Grevillea - Canterbury Gold Grevillea is a beautiful ground covering, sprawling evergreen shrub. Occasional branches grow more vigorously to 600mm tall and have an arching habit. The stems are round and covered in soft, appressed hairs, particularly on the new growth but also extending to the older stems. Grevillea - Canterbury Gold Grevillea requires pruning especially when young to keep plant more compact.

Height:   2 metres.

Width:    4 metres.

Growth rate: Fast

Form:  Prostate and dense

Foliage: The leaves are 35-50mm long when fully grown and alternate on the stems. They are lanceolate in shape. The leaves have a sparse covering of silky hairs above but appear glabrous to the naked eye. The underside of the leaves have a dense covering of these hairs which give them a glaucuos appearance. The leaves have a soft but prominent tip and a prominent, raised midvein on both the upper and lower surfaces. The leaf margins vary from slightly recurved to flat.

Flower:  Yellow spider type flowers

Tolerances: Grevillea - Canterbury Gold Grevillea grows best on well drained sites and will tolerate heavy frost, moderate wind and salt wind.

Landscape use: Excellent plant for utility plantings in parks, median strips and carparks as well as for home gardens.
