A tough, round-headed small tree, Fraxinus pensylvanica - Johnson Leprechaun - Designer Ash Tree is suitable as a distinct focal point for public areas and smaller gardens.

Growth rate: Slow.
Form: Rounded. Generally grafted onto a 1.8 metres standard.
Foliage: The foliage is typical of Fraxinus pennsylvanica in shape but is approximately half the size.
Flowers: Fraxinus pensylvanica - Johnson Leprechaun - Designer Ash Tree has greenish coloured flowers in spring.
Tolerances: Tolerant to moderate drought and adaptable to a range of conditions including exposed, windy sites and coastal areas. Adaptable to a range of soil pH values. Best in full sun on well drained soils. Fraxinus pensylvanica - Johnson Leprechaun - Designer Ash Tree transplants easily.
Landscape use: Fraxinus pensylvanica - Johnson Leprechaun - Designer Ash Tree is ideal for street tree usage where space and height are limited.
